CHICAGO, IL – September 23, 2021 – Marathon Capital, LLC (“Marathon Capital”) has announced CEI Energética (“CEI”) and Nebras Power (“Nebras”) have created a partnership to navigate the rapidly growing energy sector in Brazil. The joint venture company (“Company”) will own, operate, and manage 18 hydroelectric plants in Brazil, an installed capacity of 72 MW, a portfolio of more than 13GW in photovoltaic projects, and BEI – a service company that provides operation, maintenance, and engineering for power plants. Marathon Capital acted as exclusive financial advisor to CEI on the transaction.
Marathon Capital ran a comprehensive marketing effort including valuation and transaction execution support throughout the process, ultimately resulting in a strong outcome with the right investment partner for CEI.
