Bernays “Buz” Barclay Joins Marathon Capital as Managing Director
CHICAGO, Illinois (Jan. 10, 2012) – Bernays “Buz” Barclay has joined Marathon Capital as Managing Director based
in the financial center of New York City. He will bring his vast industry expertise, knowledge base and experience gained as an energy transactional
partner in U.S. and international law firms and as a former international commercial bank project financier, to build upon Marathon’s established North
American brand and successful track record, with augmented presence and capabilities to serve our clients headquartered in the Eastern Seaboard and
abroad.

Mr. Barclay has been a Partner with the law firms of Dickstein Shapiro LLP, Torys LLP, King & Spalding LLP, and Porter & Travers LLP, and was one
of the founders of the energy industry practice of Chadbourne & Parke LLP. He was also Vice President and Senior Banker – Project Finance at Citibank
N.A., for four years.
Mr. Barclay founded and chairs the Infocast Power Industry Deal Making Summit, a major conference of private equity, hedge funds, strategic investors,
financiers, and leading players in the power generation industries. He also chairs the Infocast Projects and Money Conference in New Orleans, now in
its fourth year as a leading indicator of the U.S. project business.
Mr. Barclay received his B.A. from University of Michigan, M.B.A. from Michigan State University and LL.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
