Julian Trobe

Julian Trobe, Vice President, is responsible for executing M&A and capital raise engagements in the renewable energy and sustainability sectors, conducting due diligence and supporting Marathon Capital’s relationship management responsibilities.

Mr. Trobe has over a decade of investment banking experience advising clients in M&A, corporate finance, IPOs, spin-offs, and corporate strategy. Prior to joining Marathon, Mr. Trobe was an Investment Banking Associate in the Global Natural Resources group at Goldman Sachs, where he covered the renewables and power/utility sectors, executing transactions such as SunPower’s spin-off of Maxeon Solar Technologies and Goldman Sachs Renewable Power’s $500 million green bond offering.

Mr. Trobe graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley, with a BA in Economics and Chinese and holds an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Management. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He holds his Series 63 and 79 licenses.
