Kai Petkov

Kai Petkov is an Analyst at Marathon Capital. He is responsible for conducting research and due diligence, authoring marketing and offering materials, preparing financial analysis, and creating financial models supporting Marathon Capital’s senior bankers.

Mr. Petkov interned with Marathon as a Summer Analyst in 2021 and 2022. Prior to Marathon, Mr. Petkov completed internships at SunLight General Capital, where he assisted in the development and procurement of distributed generation solar projects, and at Canadian Solar Inc, where he conducted market research out of the company’s Madrid office to support the development of utility-scale solar projects in Latin America.

Mr. Petkov earned a BA in Economics and English Literature from Swarthmore College. He is proficient in Bulgarian and Spanish and holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
