Meet Owen Teach
Owen Teach, Associate, is responsible for creating detailed financial models, conducting due diligence, evaluating risk/return parameters, and preparing investment marketing materials supporting Marathon Capital’s senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities.
During his time at Marathon, Mr. Teach has worked with developer and electric utility clients across the sell and buy side of asset and platform-level transactions. He has also worked extensively with corporate clients to support energy transition strategy implementation through execution of power offtake contracts and equity purchase agreements in the US and Canada.
Mr. Teach has five years of experience in the energy industry, working as a project manager to originate, develop and finance hundreds of MWs nationwide commercial and large-scale solar energy projects. He worked for industry-leading companies including SunEdison, Recurrent Energy, and Lightsource BP.
Mr. Teach received his MBA from UC-Berkeley Haas School of Business, where he focused on finance and public/private-market investing. Owen received a BA in environmental policy from Middlebury College. Owen speaks Spanish and Portuguese. He holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
