Sebastian Orozco

Sebastian Orozco is an Analyst at Marathon Capital. He is responsible for conducting research and due diligence, authoring marketing and offering materials, preparing financial analysis, and creating financial models supporting Marathon Capital’s senior bankers.

Mr. Orozco interned with Marathon as a Summer Analyst in 2022. Prior to his internship, he was a Management Consultant at EY, focusing on the economics of the energy and infrastructure sectors. Among his projects, Mr. Orozco advised a global utility in developing its e-mobility strategy in Latin America and he recommended policies to bring a higher uptake of renewable energy in Colombia. Recently, he was involved with the Center of Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, researching the global hydrogen markets and industrial decarbonization.

Mr. Orozco earned a MPA in Energy & Environment from Columbia University and an MA and BA in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. He is fluent in Spanish and holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
