Rishi Madethatt

Rishi Madethatt is an Analyst at Marathon Capital. He is responsible for conducting research and due diligence, authoring marketing and offering materials, preparing financial analysis, and creating financial models supporting Marathon Capital’s senior bankers.

Mr. Madethatt’s most recent experience includes a Project Finance Summer Internship at Apex Clean Energy Inc., a prominent renewable energy developer headquartered in Charlottesville, VA. During his time there, he provided valuable support to the finance team in managing asset-level renewable energy deal processes. Prior to that, Mr. Madethatt was a Research Associate with the Economic Growth Institute, a policy research lab, and the Centre for Sustainable Systems, a technical research lab, both at the University of Michigan. He conducted extensive research on various topics, including barriers to fuel switching, energy efficiency in small and medium-scale manufacturing industries, the impact of temperature rises on the US grid during peak summer demands, and the potential of demand response to mitigate emissions and utility costs associated with gas peaker plants and global warming.

Mr. Madethatt earned an MS in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Michigan, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune in India. He speaks Hindi and Marathi and holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
