Meet Gaurav Khanna
Gaurav Khanna is a Director at Marathon Capital.
Mr. Khanna has over nine years of investment banking experience covering the renewable energy and power sector, including financial sponsors, independent power producers, utilities, and renewable energy companies. Prior to joining Marathon, Mr. Khanna was a Director in the Power & Renewables group at Bank of America. Select transactions included the sale of GE’s interest in an 812 MW wind portfolio to Harbert, the sale of GE’s interest in a 255 MW hydro portfolio to Hull Street Energy, the sale of AES’s 973 MW gas portfolio to Rockland Capital, and advising PG&E on $5.5 billion debtor-in-possession financing. Before joining Bank of America, he was a Vice President at Deutsche Bank, where, among other transactions, he advised Energy Future Holdings on $9.65 billion debtor-in-possession and exit financing and Blackstone Group on $685 million acquisition financing for its purchase of a generation portfolio in Texas.
Mr. Khanna received his MBA from Georgetown University and holds his Series 63 and 79 licenses.
