Meet Chuck Hinckley

Chuck Hinckley is Managing Director and Co-Head of the New York City office.

Mr. Hinckley joined Marathon Capital in 2018 bringing decades of corporate finance experience involving power generation and real estate. He is focused on advising companies in the clean energy and power generation sectors.

Mr. Hinckley also serves as the President of Marathon Capital subsidiary, AWCC Capital, LLC, which specializes in real estate and power project related real estate finance. He founded AWCC Capital following the sale of American Wind Capital, LLC where he served as CEO. American Wind Capital investors included Barclays, Fortress Investment Group, and Energy Technologies Partners and Noble Environmental Power whose investors included JP Morgan Partners, and CC Hinckley Company.

Mr. Hinckley’s previous employment includes GE Capital, KENETECH Corp., and Stewart and Stevenson Services (later sold to GE Power Systems). His experience includes US and international project development and finance and related financial services. He has held M&A and financial advisory roles in the energy sector with a special emphasis on gas fired, renewable power, and leveraged buyout opportunities for large bank and non-bank financial institutions, private equity and strategic utility and industrial clients.

Mr. Hinckley is a veteran of the US Navy, and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he majored in physics. He currently holds a Series 79 securities license.
