Meet Alex Giarratano
Alex Giarratano, Associate, is responsible for creating detailed financial models, conducting due diligence, evaluating transactional risk/return parameters, and preparing investment marketing materials supporting Marathon Capital’s senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities.
Prior to Marathon, Mr. Giarratano held several positions with ERCOT, including as an engineer in the Engineer Development Program, as an Operation Engineer, and most recently as a Market Operations Engineer, where he analyzed the effect of system operations and proposed system changes on economic outcome in the wholesale electricity market. As an assistant during his graduate studies, he analyzed the effects of increased electric vehicle penetration on distribution grids and researched various optimization methods to minimize system losses and charging costs to time-of-use customers. He was also a CleanTech Fellow at Broad Reach Power while pursuing his MBA.
Mr. Giarratano received his MBA from McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas Austin and a MS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Power Systems and minors in Mathematics and Business Administration from Clarkson University. He holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
