Ellen Furgis

Ellen Furgis, Associate, is responsible for conducting research and due diligence, authoring marketing and offering materials, preparing financial analysis, and creating financial models supporting Marathon Capital’s senior bankers.

Since joining the firm in 2020, Ms. Furgis has worked on closings including the sale of Upsream’s portfolio of CAISO storage assets to GridStor as well as the sale of Solstice Power Technologies to MyPower. Additionally, she has supported the European coverage initiative since its inception in 2020.

Prior to Marathon, Ms. Furgis conducted a yearl-long Fulbright Research Award in Greece. While a Fulbright Fellow, she studied the implementation and civic participation around wind, solar, and hydro-electric energy systems on the islands of Tilos and Sifnos.

Ms. Furgis received degrees in Environmental Science and Human Development from Northwestern University. She holds Series 63 and 79 licenses.
