Meet Filippo Bolla
Filippo Bolla, Vice President, is responsible for executing M&A and capital raise engagements in the renewable energy and power sectors, conducting due diligence, and supporting Marathon Capital’s relationship management responsibilities.
Mr. Bolla has 13 years of energy and infrastructure investment experience both as an advisor to clients on M&A and corporate finance mandates as well as in a principal role. Prior to joining Marathon, Mr. Bolla was Vice President at Evercore Partners in the Utilities, Infrastructure and Transport team in London. At Evercore, Mr. Bolla focused on advising clients within the renewable energy sector across multiple technologies including onshore and offshore wind, solar, bioenergy, and flexible generation. More recently, Mr. Bolla has advised clients such as Greencoat on their acquisition of a 45MW wood-fired biomass facility in the UK, iCON Infrastructure on the sale of two CHP bioenergy assets in UK with combined capacity of 26MWe, AMP Clean Energy, an AIM listed provider of decentralized energy solutions, on its sale to Asterion Industrial Partners, a UK family office on the sale of a 189MW UK remote island wind development project, Invenergy on the sale of its 70MW Corriegarth onshore wind farm in Scotland to Greencoat UK Wind Plc, 3i Infrastructure Plc on its acquisition a minority stake in Herambiente, a leading Italian waste treatment and disposal company, and RWE on its sale of Lynemouth Power, a 420MW coal-to-biomass conversion power project in UK.
Prior to Evercore, Mr. Bolla was a Business Development Analyst at White Rose Energy Ventures, a portfolio company of First Reserve and Riverstone focused on oil and gas exploration and development and spent 4 years at Lehman Brothers (then Nomura International) in the European Energy and Power group in London advising clients on high profile M&A and IPO mandates.
Mr. Bolla holds a BSc in Business Administration and Management from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
